Chik Wai Chiew is the CEO and Executive Director of Heritas Capital Management, a Singapore-based multi-fund impact investment platform making impact investments across venture and early-growth stages. Since joining Heritas Capital, Wai Chiew has expanded its private equity investment portfolio and initiated venture capital and fund-of-funds investments into healthcare, education, environment, and technology sectors globally. In line with Heritas’ “invest with purpose, impact across generations” investment philosophy, he has overseen the integration of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations and Impact investment frameworks into its investment processes, as well as the launch of 2 Impact funds in 2021, and the launch of an Impact-First fund in 2022. Wai Chiew also actively serves as director on multiple boards and as advisor on various investment advisory committees to advocate sustainable growth and sound governance

Wai Chiew was awarded the Glaxo-EDB scholarship and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cambridge University, UK; Master of Arts from Yale University, USA; and completed his Executive Master of Business Administration (conducted in Mandarin) at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, China. He has also served as Honorary Treasurer with the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SVCA), and currently serves as a member of its ESG committee
