Mr. Vu Duong has been an Advisor on Innovation Strategy to Vietnam Minister of Planning & Investments since 2020. Currently a Professor of Aerospace Engineering cum Director of Air Traffic Management Research Institute of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) – Singapore, he had been Founding-Director of John von Neumann Institute, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM). It was at John von Neumann Institute that Prof Vu had led the initiatives on university-industry collaborations through innovation, and promoted innovation and start-up in undergraduate and postgraduate programs in VNU-HCM. He had also been Honorary Dean of College of Engineering & Computer Science at VinUniversity.

Vu attended Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées of France where he obtained the degree of Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence in 1990. In his free time, Vu practices triathlon and painting.
