Nguyen Thi Dieu Hang

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Hang is a pioneering figure in the development of Vietnam’s startup ecosystem. Over more than a decade, she has provided invaluable support, guidance, and mentorship to over 12,000 SMEs and startups, while also assisting more than 25,000 aspiring young entrepreneurs in launching their ventures.

A key driver of her impact is her role as Co-founder and Director of Startup Wheel, launched in 2013. This annual competition has become the largest of its kind in Vietnam, uniquely open to both Vietnamese and international startups seeking to establish themselves in the Vietnamese market. Each year, Startup Wheel attracts 2,000 startups from over 40 countries, showcasing the top 100 to the Vietnamese market.

Beyond Startup Wheel, Ms. Hang actively invests in both international and Vietnamese startups as an angel investor, focusing on information technology applications and automation/software solutions for businesses. She also actively contributes to the broader startup community by collaborating with key stakeholders on various initiatives and programs.

Her contributions include serving as a judge for prestigious platforms such as Shark Tank Vietnam, the Tuoi Tre Startup Awards, and the Outstanding Young Entrepreneur in HCMC Awards. She provides valuable feedback, advice, and insights on the startup ecosystem to the Vietnamese government, and co-designs and organizes government-led programs and events for Vietnamese startups. Furthermore, she participates in regional programs as a host and judge, engaging in startup competitions, exchanges, and business tours from countries including Korea, Australia, Thailand, and Russia.

Deeply engaged in social and business community initiatives, Ms. Hang currently serves as Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Business Association (YBA), where she leads corporate innovation and digital transformation efforts for over 1,000 medium and large enterprises.

Drawing upon six years of experience as a Director of a foreign-invested technology and telecommunications company, Ms. Hang brings a wealth of knowledge in business operations, strategic planning, and community development to her multifaceted work in supporting Vietnam’s vibrant startup ecosystem.
