Chu Thi Kim Thanh

Ms. Thanh Chu is Deputy Chief Executive Officer of PRO Vietnam, an organization working to advance sustainable packaging collection and recycling and accelerate the transition toward a circular economy in Vietnam. Having previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Operations Director at PRO Vietnam, she has been closely involved in initiatives supporting the implementation of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), strengthening recycling systems, and fostering collaboration among businesses, government agencies, recyclers, and communities.

Her work focuses on advancing more sustainable and professional recycling value chains, including improving collection and recycling infrastructure and supporting the integration of informal waste collectors into the broader waste-management system. She has also advocated for greater investment, innovation, and digital transformation across Vietnam’s recycling sector to improve efficiency, traceability, and transparency.

Beyond recycling operations, Thanh emphasizes the role of public awareness, education, and cross-sector collaboration in driving sustainable consumption and effective EPR implementation. Through her work with PRO Vietnam, she contributes to the organization’s broader ambition of building a more circular packaging ecosystem and supporting Vietnam’s transition toward green and sustainable growth.
