Since establishing its first private equity fund in August 2017, The Invention Lab has established 30 private equity funds and listed open innovation funds with a total AUM of KRW 500 billion (as of May 2024). Over the past nine years, the firm has made seed investments in more than 200+ early-stage startups, with representative portfolio companies including Zipdoc (Series C, EXIT), Petdoc (Series B, EXIT), Yamtable (Series B), HomeMaster(M&A), Jaranda (Series B, EXIT), Voicethru (Series B, acquisition of Kakao Piccoma, EXIT), etc. He also raised a bio venture investment fund ($5M) to invest in a startup with a pipeline of US cancer therapeutics, which he led to a successful NASDAQ IPO and subsequent exit.
