Mira Nagy is the Implementation Manager for the Viet Nam component of the global project “Go Circular” funded by the German Government. In Viet Nam, Go Circular works closely with the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) and the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) as key political partners to promote circular business models.
With a background in ecological economics, Mira has been working for GIZ for over 5 years on the topics of circular economy, sustainable waste management, and resource efficiency. Among others, she worked on the development of GIZ’s service offering for marine litter prevention, followed the negotiations for an international treaty on plastics and developed GIZ’s position on plastics credits. With Go Circular in Viet Nam, she is keen to support businesses to transition to a circular economy, not just in plastics but also in other manufacturing sectors such as textiles, as well as to show the potential of circular solutions beyond recycling.
