HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM – April 16, 2026 – The InnoEx International Innovation Alliance, in partnership with the Young Businesspeople Association of Ho Chi Minh City (YBA HCMC) and the Investment and Business Partners (IBP), has officially announced the launch of the Green Innovation Accelerator 2026.
The grand launching event featured a high-level panel discussion titled “Innovation in Agri-Food: Key Drivers for Sustainable Growth,” held within the framework of the International Foodex Exhibition 2026 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).
The 2026 Landscape: ESG Compliance Transformed from Choice to Core Survival Passport
As strict international regulations take full effect – including the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) – Vietnamese enterprises, ranging from major exporters to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), are entering a critical phase of structural reorganization.
Environmental standards, absolute traceability, and responsible supply chains are no longer mere competitive advantages; they are now mandatory requirements to enter and maintain a position within global value chains. By 2026, these regulations will serve as an obligatory “passport to market,” particularly in the agriculture and food sectors, which feel the immediate impact of both regulatory shifts and evolving consumer behaviors.
Concurrently, the rise of “Net Zero consumers” is reshaping the market. This demographic prioritizes transparent, eco-responsible products with fully traceable lifecycles. While this trend applies significant pressure, it also unlocks massive market potential for agile, innovative, and green-focused SMEs and startups.
In this context, the primary challenge goes beyond mere compliance – it centers on market integration and adaptation capacity. Many SMEs and startups currently lack the critical resources required to:
- Upgrade business models to align with international ESG criteria.
- Validate and commercialize green solutions at scale.
- Access corporate partners within global supply chains.
- Connect with impact investors and secure high-value off-take markets.
To bridge these gaps, the Green Innovation Accelerator 2026 is strategically designed not just as a traditional accelerator, but as an ecosystem platform. The program aims to elevate innovative enterprises specializing in Sustainable Agriculture, Circular Economy, and Climate Tech. By integrating participants into a robust network of industry experts, multi-national corporations, and venture funds, the accelerator accelerates the path from innovation to commercialization, empowering Vietnamese solutions to meet global standards.
Green Innovation Accelerator 2026 Launch Workshop
The launching panel discussion addressed the core operational questions facing modern businesses: how to enhance competitiveness while seamlessly integrating into high-value global supply chains amid escalating standards. The workshop brought together prominent business leaders who are actively spearheading sustainability and green transformation within their respective fields:
Mr. Phan Thanh Loc (Chairman & CEO of Vietnam Food – VNF): Shared insights on adopting a circular economy approach from a commercial standpoint, demonstrating how VNF successfully upcycles shrimp co-products into high-value functional ingredients that compete effectively with imports in the domestic market.
Mr. Danny Tran (Chairman of DannyGreen Corporation): Provided practical perspectives from operating a 1,500-hectare organic farming system that meets stringent international certifications such as JAS (Japan) and USDA (USA), detailing the rigorous compliance benchmarks required to penetrate these demanding markets.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Anh Tung (Founder of Foodmap Asia): Emphasized the vital role of digital technology in optimizing supply chains and multiplying agricultural value, drawing from his experience raising nearly USD 5 million from global venture capital funds for high-tech agricultural models.
Ms. Didi Gan (Founder & Managing Director of N&E Innovations, Singapore): The Winner of the Green Innovation Accelerator 2025 shared her cross-border journey of introducing “Vikang” green technology into Vietnam, highlighting the critical scalability factors needed as the regional market pivots toward sustainability.
Green Innovation Accelerator 2026 what's new?
To effectively address diverse market challenges, the 2026 cohort is structured into three specialized tracks, each tailored with distinct target profiles, evaluation metrics, and strategic value propositions across a comprehensive 6-month journey.
Track 1: Sustainable Agriculture (In Partnership with Rabo Foundation)
As the anchor agricultural track of the program, Track 1 focuses exclusively on SMEs, AgriTech innovators, and Cooperatives possessing breakthrough business models that generate USD 1 million or more in revenue, while directly improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers. Through 6 intensive training modules focusing on financial governance, value chain optimization, market expansion, and compliance, the program will scale the operational capacities of at least 30 high-potential enterprises, matching them with top-tier domestic and global experts.
Track 2: Circular Economy & Resource Efficiency (In Partnership with AB InBev)
This track addresses the global mandate for waste mitigation and resource optimization. Aligned with corporate sustainability milestones – such as achieving 100% returnable or recycled packaging – this track offers a commercial testing ground for enterprises developing advanced materials and highly applicable recycling solutions.
Exclusive Corporate Privilege: Selected companies in Track 2 will gain inside access to study sustainable manufacturing frameworks and operational problem statements at AB InBev’s regional flagship brewery, alongside a direct pathway to their global acceleration initiatives. Eligible applicants must have a minimum of one year of operations, a viable Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and early market validation.
Track 3: Climate Innovation & Green Tech
Dedicated to deeply integrated technological solutions addressing macroeconomic climate challenges, Track 3 targets sectors attracting heavy capital influx, including renewable energy, carbon reduction solutions, and enterprise ESG management systems. The primary goal is to scale business models that contribute directly to national carbon reduction goals.
High-Value Rewards and Strategic Ecosystem Privileges
Enterprises selected for Track 2 and Track 3 will receive the exclusive privilege of pitching directly to an elite panel of corporate executives, venture capitalists, and international development organizations. Furthermore, they will showcase their solutions at the dedicated Green Innovation Zone, gaining direct exposure to over 30,000+ visits, 70+ VCs/PEs, 4,000+ C-levels.
The total prize and support package for top-performing solutions is valued at nearly USD 20,000 in cash and corporate enablement packages.
