- Address the Forum’s central question at the business level: What is the real source of competitive advantage in this new era, and must businesses fundamentally reinvent themselves, or can they optimize their existing models simply to survive?
- Clearly identify the real, not merely perceived, gap between the current capabilities of Vietnamese businesses and the global frontier, viewed through three layers: compute infrastructure, enterprise execution capabilities, and national policy.
- Assess candidly whether this gap can realistically be narrowed within a practical timeframe, drawing on the lessons of transformation speed experienced by Intel and Lenovo or whether the gap will continue to widen.
- Move from the question “Pivot or Defense?” to an action-oriented question: If businesses choose to pivot, what do they need to prepare, and who do they need to partner with to accelerate the journey?

Panel Discussion 2: Rebuilding Advantage
Panel 1 has answered two fundamental questions: Is the competitive advantage gap real, and should businesses Pivot or Defend? Panel 2 starts from the assumption that businesses have chosen to Pivot – to rebuild. The next three questions to be decoded are: What needs to be rebuilt? What is the fastest way to rebuild when resources are limited? And how is rebuilding today fundamentally different from the past?
- Identify clearly what truly needs to be rebuilt, and what is being mistaken for a problem when it is actually an advantage worth preserving.
- Identify the first rebuilding priority that creates the greatest leverage when resources – budget, time, and people are limited: not necessarily the most theoretically important area, but the one that creates real speed.
- Clarify how rebuilding today is fundamentally different from 10-15 years ago, in terms of speed, customer expectations, and how capital markets evaluate businesses.
- Answer directly: Is there a common formula for rebuilding that can be applied across industries, or does each industry require a different path?
